WELLNESS CARE

Preventative & Senior Care

As veterinary medicine has progressed over the years, we recognize the importance of disease prevention. Our recommendations range from a simple diet change to individualized physical therapy. We recommend performing annual blood tests to identify diseases early. Quite often we identify a pet with thyroid disease or kidney disease which is relatively easy to manage when diagnosed early. For senior patients, we recommend they be seen twice annually to address any issues that may arise as they age.

Vaccines

Vaccines are an essential part of maintaining a healthy pet.  We follow the veterinary guidelines set forth by AAHA, AAFP, and WSAVA when making a recommendation for your pet. We thoroughly research which vaccines are the safest, most effective, and least likely to cause reactions in your pet. All of our doctors feel confident about the safety of our vaccines, and we individualize a vaccine plan based on what is needed for your pet to keep them safe and protected in their specific lifestyle or environment. Many of the core vaccines are only given once every three years because we understand that protection can last longer than previously thought.

Heartworm & Flea Prevention

Heartworm and Flea prevention have become very useful and easy to use over the years with many product options. Our doctors spend time studying all the different products to decide which one's are the safest and most effective for your pet. Each pet has different needs, and we design a protocol for your pet that is sure to prevent heartworms and fleas if given correctly. We get all our products directly from the manufacturer and have a guarantee from them. We know that there are plenty of options out there and it can be overwhelming to try and choose products for your pet.  Let us help you determine which heartworm and flea preventatives are right for you and your pet.
