Fill out my online form.

The first step is determining if daycare and/or boarding is right for you pet. Below is a list of how our programs can benefit your pet(s) that align with the following:

  • A younger dog that needs socialization with animals or people
  • A dog that gets regular exercise but needs another outlet to get rid of excess energy (in group play or with staff)
  • A healthy adult dog that enjoys playtime with friends
  • A dog/cat that will be boarding with us a few times a year to become comfortable with environment and staff.
  • An owner wanting to find another place other than home where his/her dog/cat feels comfortable, knows the people and wants to create a partnership in ensuring his/her dog/cat is safe, well cared for and emotionally comfortable when he/she is away.

In consideration for your pet(s), you agree to all the policies, procedures, release, terms and conditions set forth below.

Fleas and Ticks

Records showing your pet is on a Veterinarian approved prevention will be needed to enter Stay! (Nexgard, Bravecto, Trifexis, Simparica, Revolution, or Advantage Multi). If fleas and ticks are found on your pet during its stay at Stay!, your pet will be treated and owner will be responsible for the charges of flea/tick medication.

Daycare

Regular exercise and playtime can benefit your pet in many ways. In order to ensure safety, your dog must attend daycare at least once every 6 months or we will need to schedule another Compatibility Evaluation to make sure your pet still benefits from playgroup with other dogs or if they would be best suited for solo time with staff.

Daycare Routine

It is NOT healthy for a dog to play non-stop for 6-10 hours during the day. Appropriate rest times are needed to help ensure appropriate play cycles in playgroups and to ensure dogs are not getting overly tired and worn out during the day. Staff use the daycare suites for rest times, lunch, and time-outs. This allows them to rest and avoids any unruly behavior that can lead to jeopardizing the safety of the yard. Suites are also used to keep our active playgroups at an appropriate size. Dogs are rotated in and out of to allow a better number of dogs out at a single time. Staff do an amazing job using our suites to successfully manage their playgroups during the day.

Evaluation

We do our playgroup Compatibility Evaluations by appointment only Mondays - Thursdays. If daycare is wanted during an overnight board, the Compatibility Evaluation must be completed PRIOR to the visit. Male and female dogs over 6 months must be neutered/spayed in order to participate in group play. Keep in mind that our evaluation is not to test your dog's temperament. It is to determine whether your dog will display behaviors that are compatible with our playgroups. We use a very formal evaluation sheet to record behaviors we notice during the day. Dogs that don't do well aren't "bad dogs" - they are simply better suited for our concierge daycare with a staff member, rather than group play. Keep in mind, as dogs become comfortable with an environment their behavior can, and most likely will, change. What we see today is likely going to be different from what we see 3 months from now. If any changes occur we will notify you and discuss options going forward.
